MCGILL & ROBERTSON

James Mcgill and Mary Robertson were married (we think, still working on this) In Ireland.

Mary was born in 1815, her parents were JOHN ROBERTSON AND ROSETTA CAMPBELL. John Robertson was a joiner. 

Children of James and Mary were:

James Mcgill b ~1853 ? Holytown?

I am currently looking thru information for James and Mary's other children.

1881 Census: Dwelling is at West Calder Mary is 65 widowed. - James is living with her and at 26 is unmarried.

MCGILL & MORRISON

James Mcgill and Jayne Anne Morrison were married 22 April 1887 - Alva Stirling.

Jayne Anne  was born in ~ 1863, her parents were ANDREW MORRISON AND ANNIE ANDERSON.

Children of James and Jayne were:

  • Annie b~ 1890
  • James - 8 feb 1894 - d 9 feb 1894
  • Margaret b ~ 189?.
  • Agnes b 11 November 1899
  • Rosetta
  • Mary
  • James (second)

1891 Census: Dwelling is at 24 Forth St West Calder, James is a shale miner. Mary is living with them.

James and Jayne had a son James born in Feb 1894 - The infant died 1 day later. - 2 Days after the death - 11 Feb 1894 Mary - 76 also died.

 

ALLAN & MCGILL

Robert Allan and Agnes MCGILL  were married 11 November 1920 in Uddingston Lanark.

Robert was born 16 April 1898 , his parents were John Hamilton Allan and Lillias Cameron Smith

Children of Robert and Agnes were:

  • John Hamilton b 31 May 1923
  • James Allan b 11 Jan 1925
  • Lillias Morrison  b 21 March 1926
  • Annie McGill Allan b 18 April 1929
  • Agnes McGill Allan b 7 Jan 1935.
  • Robert Wightman Allan - b 17Spet 1939 - D 13 Oct 1939.
